Competition terms and conditions

For the ‘Your Derbyshire’ March enewsletter:

1. Entries must be submitted by completing a competition form on the Your Derbyshire website, hosted by Derbyshire County Council
2. Competition closes Friday 10th April 2015
3. This competition is not open to employees or staff of Derbyshire Outdoor Education Service
4. Two winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries and notified by email within five working days of being selected by Derbyshire County Council
5. If a prize winner cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by the promoter, the winner will forego the right to claim the prize and the promoter will arrange for a replacement winning entry to be selected
6. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms of this promotion and without notice due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control
7. Only one entry per person
8. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable and no cash will be offered as an alternative
9. The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into
10. Entry to the promotion confirms you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions
11. Incomplete, illegible or fraudulent entries will be considered void
12. The promotion is governed by English Law and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with it
13. The competition winners’ first names will be listed on Derbyshire Outdoor Education Service websites and social media accounts when the competition has closed

Specific prize details:

  • The prize includes a 2 hour session of activities at either Lea Green Centre (near Matlock, Derbyshire) OR White Hall Centre (Buxton, Derbyshire) OR Adventur Mobile Activities Team (Chesterfield) for a family of up to 4 (2 adults and 2 children 5-17 years old.)
  • Under 17s must be accompanied by an adult
  • Maximum of 2 children per adult
  • Activities will be planned in advance and a member of our team will contact the winner to discuss adults/children coming along on the day and the chosen location
  • We are able to tailor activities for people with additional needs and disabilities to ensure the centres are accessible to as many people as possible
  • The promotor reserves the right to change activities based on the environment and weather as well as needs and abilities of the individuals taking part in activities
  • Winners will be contacted to arrange a suitable date for the prize to be taken
  • Travel and accommodation is not included
  • All information about what to wear for activities and location of the centre will be communicated with the winners when the competition has closed
  • All safety equipment and full instructor supervision is included in the prize
