Tom’s blog

We’re pleased to have the support of Tom who has started to volunteer at Lea Green Centre on a regular basis.

Here Tom introduces himself and has written about what he got up to on 11th January…

“My name is Tom I’m 30 yrs old and profoundly deaf, I also suffer with cerebral palsy. I love to help others and enjoy being active.

I volunteer at Lea Green once a week helping with maintenance and supporting the children in their activities.

Lea Green has helped me gain more confidence the staff are really helpful, I’m also able to improve my personal development such as first aid course.

So today I helped with the skyline activities and also had a go myself..I was nervous but Ben made sure I felt safe before trying..

The zip wire was fun:):):)”

Here are some photos of Tom getting to grips with our accessible ropes course Skyline…
