About The Cottage
Perfect for small groups of up to 13 guests, The Cottage is a charming detached stone building set within the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, offering a comfortable and welcoming base for your stay.

The Cottage has four bedrooms, with a mix of dormitory style accommodation and a separate group leader’s bedroom with its own ensuite bathroom. A shared bathroom is available for guests staying in the remaining three bedrooms.

Guests also have their own communal lounge with a TV, providing a comfortable space to relax and spend time together throughout their stay.

Attached to The Cottage is the Cottage Kitchen, which has its own separate entrance. Inside, you’ll find a compact kitchen equipped with all the essentials you’ll need during your stay, along with a small dining area.

Set in the heart of Derbyshire, The Cottage is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. Enjoy countryside walks straight from your doorstep, take a stroll to the local Jug and Glass pub, or venture into nearby Matlock and Matlock Bath, where you’ll find a variety of restaurants, shops, attractions and entertainment venues. There are also regular bus services and railway stations at nearby Cromford, Matlock, Whatstandwell and Ambergate.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any of our buildings. If your group requires a designated outdoor smoking area, please let us know before your arrival. Drug use is strictly prohibited.

Private Hire Price:
The cottage is available for private hire for £340 per night, with a minimum stay of two nights.

Please note: This rate is valid for stays up to and including 31 March 2028.

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total accommodation price is due at the time of booking to confirm the booking. The remaining balance shall be paid no less than 8 weeks prior to the start of the visit. If any damages occur during your stay, the cost of repair/replacement will be added to this final invoice.

The cottage is at Lea Green Centre, in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Lea. The Jug and Glass pub is just a short walk away, and there are plenty of countryside walks right on the doorstep.
