Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience with yoga or wellness practices?
Not at all. This day is open to everyone, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi. All activities will be guided in a gentle, accessible way, and you’re encouraged to participate at your own pace.
What should I bring?
Please bring comfortable clothing suitable for movement and being outdoors, sturdy footwear, a waterproof layer just in case, a water bottle, and anything else that helps you feel comfortable in nature. A yoga mat is recommended if you have one, but we do have some you can borrow.
What is forest bathing?
No, it’s not about getting into your swimming cossie in the woods! Forest bathing is a simple mindfulness practice that invites you to slow down and connect with nature through your senses. It’s not about exercise or covering distance, it’s about taking time to notice, observe, and enjoy the natural environment around you. We will provide mats for you to sit or lie down on to relax.
What if the weather isn’t great?
We’ll be embracing nature in all its forms! We recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing, but we have waterproofs and wellies you can borrow if needed. We have access to indoor spaces in the main building.
Is the event suitable if I’m coming on my own?
Absolutely. Many people attend wellness events solo. The atmosphere will be relaxed, friendly, and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities to connect with others or enjoy quiet time by yourself.
Is the event physically demanding?
No. Activities are designed to be gentle and accessible. While there will be walking and movement throughout the day, the focus is on wellbeing, relaxation, and connection with nature rather than physical challenge.
What facilities will be available?
There is free parking onsite, toilet facilities in the main building and indoor spaces for us to use if the weather is bad. We will be eating lunch in the dining room in the main building. Please note that phone signal at Lea Green is limited, we do however have free Wi-Fi which can be accessed in the communal downstairs areas.
